Laura is a 500-hour Purna Yoga teacher and an instructor for pregnancy and postnatal yoga.
“I started my yoga practice over ten years ago, after trying several yoga styles and teachers I found Purna Yoga Helsinki that resonated with me instantly with its way of uniting meditation and alignment based yoga practice. As well as teaching yoga, I am also a master of gilding and a painting artist.
I actively use the yoga practise in my work to turn my senses inwards so that I’m creating from my inner experience rather than expressing the world around me. Yoga has also been my anchor in my responsible duty as a mother of three girls. In my turbulent family life it has enabled me to connect with my inner peace and strength and helped me to be a better mom and better person. From there also comes my interest in pregnancy, birthing and yoga with babies. I studied with Birthlight UK in 2017/18.
I still see myself more as a practitioner of yoga, rather than a teacher. I am more home on the mat rather than in front of the mat. But I want to teach and share my yogic experiences and I hope that others, just like me, will benefit from this practice and be more tuned in to their inner experiences, peace and strength that will help them in their daily life.”
Laura teaches Purna Yoga classes, pregnancy- and postnatal yoga classes online and at the studio at Purna Yoga Helsinki and from her art space.
