Andy is from England and first moved to Finland in 2003, although from 2006 to 2010 he lived in Singapore with his family. It was there that he first regularly practiced yoga. He immediately felt the benefit asana on the body and over the years tried different styles and classes which, although he found them enjoyable and beneficial, he thought something was missing.
“Asana was great, but it was through practicing Purna Yoga that I 40arned simple tools to help create union between the mind, body and spirit. It is so much more than asana. My 200 hour teacher training with Purna Yoga was a life changing experience for me and it has had a huge impact on my everyday life, for example, in the way I manage stress and find peace. In Purna Yoga we learn why we do certain things and there is high focus on safety. It is this understanding that helps to focus my practice and give me the confidence that what I am doing myself and teaching to my students is safe and has the maximum benefit. I am so grateful to be able to teach in Purna Yoga Helsinki and being able to share what I have learned with my students. My hope is that when you leave my class you feel both physically and mentally refreshed!”
